About Us

The Game Maker’s Union or GMU is where Ryerson’s game developers meet to swap ideas and collaborate on projects. We meet once a week to work on building our own or each other’s games. We are open to anyone whether they have game dev experience or not and are always happy to teach each other something new. Members are encouraged to begin and develop their own game projects. We also hold fun mini-jams on monthly basis where we all work together.

  1. Hi,

I have received funding to hire a summer student. I need the student to work in the Unity game engine to develop a process for processing 3d sensor data taken from a device like an MS Kinect game sensor or other 3d data (like the output of Pix4D or a point cloud generated in some other way), importing the data into the Unity environment, applying environment rules (like physics) and creating other rules related to performing activities within the game on and within the imported 3d data.

Basically, I want to scan a part of the world, import it into Unity, interact with it based on a set of rules that will provide me a game score. Whatever I did in the game should have some relationship to what happens in real life so if I do the actions for real in the real world, the game score should reflect how well I might accomplish the task in real life.

Anyways, need someone with Unity, reasonable programmer and a 3.0 GPA.

    regards, alex
