Checkpoint 3 – Photos & Video

This year marked the GMU’s 3rd annual Checkpoint event, an event I personally created in 2013 with the goal of connecting the Ryerson student community to the game industry. It is also the last Checkpoint event that I will personally be hosting & organizing before I graduate. It was a successful night with over 50 attendees throughout the event. I’d like to thank everyone who supported the Checkpoint over the years. Thank you to our guest speakers Wei Zhang & Karl Merten from Vinyl Games, Diana Arruda from Gameloft, and game designer Rebecca Brooker who imparted their knowledge upon the community. We hope this was an educational experience that inspired people to make their own games. We hope all of you will continue to support the GMU community in the coming years.

A full video and photos of the event can be found below. You can download the Slideshow Presentations here. Thank you to our photographer/cameraman, Wil Noack, for his efforts in recording Checkpoint this year. Thank you to Matthew Holzapfel for managing the raffle prizes. And finally, thank you for your interest in Checkpoint.
