As a club we generally spend a lot of time focusing on game ideas and not a lot of time focusing on a back story. To combat this issue we decided this week to put aside Unity and pick up Twine. Twine is a free engine that assists in creating interactive stories. It is simple to use, requiring no coding skills whatsoever.
We spent out meeting brainstorming and outlining our story on the whiteboard and then transcribing the outline to Twine, creating the paths the story would follow. The actual story itself was written by myself after the meeting was finished as writing is usually very much a solo act. To read the story, Heard it Through the Phone Lines, click here.
The Twine story files are available here on the GitHub repository.
